not only is it safe - it's recommended by some noted doctors and Jewish rabbinical sources say that the first 3 months of pregnancy - sex is good for the mother's health, during the next 3 months it helps the baby develop, and the last 3 - helps both.
in any case, the baby is well protected and you have nothing to fear. if the pregnant woman's stomach hinders you, try a different position - like from behind.
the real issue is whether the pregnant woman wants to have sex while pregnant. she is carrying extra weight around, like having a heavy back pack permanently attached to her front and therefore hindering her versatility. many women undergo nauseousness and the baby takes whatever it needs for development from the mother/host body even if it may cause deficiency in the mothers body. there are hormones and stuff and bodily changes as well - all this adds to tiredness and sometimes she just isn't feeling up to it.
try to be supportive and understanding of her unique situation.
good luck and take care of them both....

My doctor (she had quite a sense of humor) told me that when the baby is due it would be nice if my fiance would back away for a moment so she could get the baby out. Basically you can have sex until there are contractions (and even then but I doubt you would like it then). In a normal pregnancy sex does not endanger the baby at all. Actually all the "positive hormons" make the baby happy too. If there are problems like bleeding or early contractions then consult the doctor before jumping into bed with each other. By the way... you will love the second trimester!

It is safe as long as she hasn't had any problems with pre-term labor in the past.

Think of the baby as an egg inside a balloon full of Vasoline. He or she will feel very little during intercourse. The end of the penis doesn't hit the baby directly, there is still a cervix, mucous plug, and amniotic fluid in the way.

it incredibly is amazingly risk-free to have intercourse with a pregnant woman and could maximum in all probability do you the two some solid. the toddler is risk-free, you like no longer hardship approximately how tricky you thrust or something like that. in fact, till she has any issues together with her being pregnant you've gotten intercourse up till she has the toddler. that could desire to be somewhat uncomfortable nearing the top of 9 months. yet regardless, it incredibly is easily risk-free. have relaxing!

Very safe, even up to the day of delivery, if she has had no serious complications with her pregnancy.
