I know that it is this clear, yellowish stuff that comes from my personal place, but what exactly is it?

Like salivary glands in the mouth and tear glands in the eyes keep secreting some fluid all the time, serving different purposes, same way glands in the vagina keep secreting this fluid you call vaginal discharge. Normally slight in amount, clear or whitish fluid should not be a cause of concern. If it is excessive, yellowish or green, accompanied with itching/redness/irritation of the private parts, it needs attention.
