1) ignore the incident
2) answer his question and bust his treachery
3) report us both for 'straying'
4) expose his 'double-agent' status in a full page ad in the Times

I really think a full-blown investigation is warranted. First you need to reveal him to everyone. Expose him to ridicule. Then the real investigation will start. We will poke and prod into every aspect of his life. No stone will be left unturned. He will be sorry. Yes he will.
