This series was started in 1997 and it has 42 eposides, but does it has season 2.

Nope, sorry that's all that there is. If you want more Flames of Recca, you could try reading the Graphic Novel. Viz is currently releasing the translated versions and are up to 20 something now.

I don't think so and I never heard of one but if you like to see if there is a continuation of the story, try the manga.
