People who are willing to get off their rear to search the entire room for the T.V. remote because they refuse to walk to the T.V. and change the channel manually.

Once, the dog stole the remote and took it under a bed in the corner in the guest bedroom.
OMG - it was hilarious to watch. When they settled down and gave up the search, you'd have thought there'd been a death in the family. roflol

Its a classic all right, but here's the thing: when you are looking for the remote in your sub-conscious you wonder have you really lost it, or where could it be? I am not saying that people being lazy to manually change the T.V. is a wrong answer, surely in some situations its true. The same thing happens with sub-conscious when you remember an object that is of no particular interest, yet still it is being searched. Hope i made sense.

Exactly. I actually know people who do that.
You know many years ago, I was married. That was before "all" TVs had remotes. We had one that didn't. One day my husband say, "you know I think we should get a TV with a remote control." I told him, "Honey, I would never be so lazy that I couldn't ask you to get up and change the TV channel."

actually, it can get annoying after like the 3rd or 4th time you want to change the channel!! so looking for the remote can be worth just sitting and relaxing for a while...

Actually, we don't have any TV channels. We chose to get rid of cable a few months ago. Now, we just watch DVDs. Unfortunately, we need the remote for most movies to work our DVD player.
