How do you like your country? When I imagine being in Europe, it feels romantic. I'd like to see countries that have been around since forever. Hopefully I can visit someday.

Germany often is reduced by other people to Bavaria, the most southern part at the bottom of the alps where peolpe really *sometimes* where leather trousers and "dirndl"-dresses and eat "Sauerkraut".
But there is a lot more - in the north there are two oceans and a lot of islands, and in the middle you have also beautiful sceneries and a lot of culture. Not to forget cities like Hamburg, Berlin, Munich etc. - the infrastructure is similar to the US.
And - what is surprising a lot of american guests - at least every second German speaks sufficient english...

You need to turn on the daily news for a while. especially the news of the European countries you plan to visit some day.
Start with the UK where English is spoken first and go from there
to the other countries in the news. Before making your decision where to visit .

I like my country (belgium -flanders) and wouldn't want to live anywhere else on the world. We have the old, medievil parts, and the modern parts. I live in Bruges, the venice of the north, it has lots of english and american and japonese tourists. That sucks, but still love it? Crime is almost non excisting, that a plus to.
some stupid **** here suggested to turn on the news before visiting a european country. --> I don't know wether you have been seeing to many movies, but all western and some eastern european countries are perfectly safe to visit. Most, if not all of them are safer than the usa and don't have stupid laws.
