a cup of water to save the planet?
How patronising.
She has just been on BBC news. Just another 'celeb' quite happy to fly all over the world ('I'll be ofsetting dahlink') and tell us iti s our responsibility to save the planet.
So, I'll stumble about in the dark with the heating on low and forfiet my holidays so you can carry on in your Chealsea Wagon to the airport?

I wonder if when her and her Primrose Hill set calculated their carbon footprint they take into account the miles their cocaine has travelled, the land that it was farmed on, the arms the money from it supplied, the lives that are lost and the children affected by the cocaine production?

Well said !!
The TV nearly went through the window this morning when that patronising little tart came on.
The so-called "greens" need to wake up to the fact that most of us are actually trying to be environmentally aware.
Paying for half-wit celebrities to jet around the world on fact-finding missions and then planting a bonsai tree in their living room to "off-set" actually has the reverse effect to that desired. Having seen Siena, I now think "F*ck it", I will go on my holidays and boil two cups of water in my kettle and leave the landing light on and walk round the house in my pants with the heating on "Sahara" setting.

What a good question and I quite agree with you.
Too many charities raise money in the name of good causes and then spend it on admin charges - I think the percentage that actually ends up where it should is as low as 25 - 45%!
As for hiring celebs - are they being paid by the charity???
If voluntarily helping - that's OK, but flying round the world for any reason these days needs to have the logic queried.

Do as I do, and never give to a charity who either jets famous people to isolated locations to insult the locals, or have huge head quarters in the centre of London.
I have finally had enough of being told what to do by brainless and dramatically untalented "stars", and would rather die than live in a world which chooses these "people" as the great and good.

There is no easy way to explain this, but I hope this helps. India is both - a punya bhoomi & a karma bhoomi. A punya bhoomi because of its varied heritage , cultural diversity & tolerance. You will not find so many religions, languages etc. co- existing in harmony anywhere else. India is also the land of great people like Vivekananda & Gandhiji. Karma bhoomi is a land where you discharge your duties. Hence, people doing their rightful duties in India, can call her their Karma bhoomi.

I really do agree with you on this subject, I am sick to death of so called celebrities jumping on the band wagon in the name of charity. Why don't they just hand over a few thousand pounds and let the charities get on with it , or are they so obsessed with publicity that it would never happen. I have stopped giving to any charity until I see their balance sheet to see where my money is really going.

no we do not need her..i've been to India & the last thing on their minds is boiling their water!
- wondering if they can feed their family that day is a problem for them..the poverty is terrible in some places...maybe she should donate some of her money to help feed them instead!!
