Well you gave 2 guys who are gone but im not sure who the 3rd is, assuming it isnt Larry Johnson then i agree with these guys and go with him. If Larry is off the board i would have to go with either Peyton Manning (who leads all QB's in fantasy points by far) or with a guy like Frank Gore who will eat up alot of yardage and TD's on a San Fran game with a mediocre passing game. If you are worried about getting an RB, dont, get the best available player who will give you consistency in points b/c RB's will come along. A guy like Rudi Johnson or Marion Barber III (who was second in the league in TD's only behind LT) will be there in some later rounds. Adrian Peterson and/or Chester Taylor will also be there and they will get 250 carries a piece on an offense with not much of a passing game. Id go with Peyton and get an RB later but thats just me.....

If LJ is there, then he definitely should be your pick. If he is off the board then the decision is between Gore, Alexander, and Addai. All three of these backs are set to have monster years and you can't go wrong with either of them (Gore has been the most popular pick at #4 in yahoo leagues though). Addai is the safest pick here as there are no injury concerns and he is in an amazing offense, however both Gore and Alexander and a lot more upside (Gore has the talent and Alexander has been there). Since you are in a 12 person league, you can not take Peyton Manning here. If you do, you will end up with a subpar pair of running backs and no #1 WR, as you will have to go QB/RB/RB/WR (assuming your league only starts 1 QB and 2 RBs).

In a league where you start two RBs, take an RB, probably Larry Johnson.
In a pass-heavy league (point per reception, large bonus for 300 yard games), take Peyton Manning.
In a league where you can start up to four wides and you only have one starting RB slot, take Steve Smith.

together as i think of your group is respectable, i'm not so specific approximately Cassel. I in hassle-free terms say that because of the fact he isnt enjoying in NE anymore. who's to assert if final year replaced right into a fluke? Your working recreation is sturdy and you have some stable receivers. Their successes are going to count on the offensive scheme wherein they play. Witten would be stable for you and the two kickers are solid. you may desire to end sturdy yet be smart while it includes people who're providing you with factors and driving the bench as against people who're commencing yet arent producing.

S Alexander
B Westbrook (esp if the league reward points for rec)
R Johnson
W Parker
R Bush (again if league reward points for rec)

I would take Peyton Manning, then draft 3 top WR's and then load up on the best RB's available and alternate them throughout the season based on their matchups.

This sounds like a reach but I'm going with Joesph Addai. I think he's he's the next EJ with better speed.
