ive been trying to sleep for at least 3 hours, it takes a long time for me to go to sleep. Any suggestion on how i can go to sleep faster?

Well first of all what happens when you lay down?
do you stop breathing heart race, etc. if this is a chronic problem you may need to see a MD and ask about getting a sleep study done.

I have a lot of anxiety before I go to sleep I use a self hypnosis technique wher I VERY slowly relax my toes, calves, legs, and on up if nothing else by the time your done your more relaxed.

Or excersize, or read something boring.

Or wait till bedtime to eat dinner. A full stomach late at night will definately do it!
