You would probably die from blood loss and exposure.

Whether or not you would die would depend of course on how much blood you lost and which parts of the body were hit by the shots. The blood would dry quicker because it would evaporate faster in the heat, but bleeding is not stopped by just drying but also by clotting. There are some places that you could get shot where, even if the blood dries faster, you would lose blood so quickly that you'd have lost too much blood by the time it clotted.

It frankly worries me a bit that you are wondering about a question like this. Are you anticipating getting shot?

BTW if someone else shooting you, then you aren't alone in the desert. ;)

(Actually, after reading the previous answer I'm now wondering if clotting would happen faster or slower in the heat. It depends on the action of the clotting factors. In general, enzymes work faster under hotter conditions, but they can also get so hot that they denature and don't work anymore. I don't know enough detail about the clotting process to tell you anymore. But if you got shot in the brain stem, for instance, the amount of blood you lost would be irrelevant.)

You would die. Remember, blood, like any other liquid, is heated to gaseous forms, so the hotter a liquid is, including blood, the thinner it tends to be. Most anyone would die from 5 shots regardless of where they were, but you would stand a better chance of survival in the Arctic as the COLD would help thicken and coagulate the blood.

I think the blood will just burn beacuse of the heat. And ou will probably die baecuse of the heat and dehydartion if something like this happens. But deserts get really cold in the night, so it would be wrong for you think that it will only be hot there.

The blood would dry up in a comparatively rapid fashion. You would die unless you had excellent medical treatment and were lucky enough to have most of the four wounds in non-lethal locations. If you got shot five times, chances are that one or more of the bullets would hit a vital organ. You certainly would be in shock and in no condition to help yourself. If you survived this, the recovery period would be very long. You might have permanent damage, and your life expectancy might be shorter.

I'd survive because I'd crawl back into my travel trailer that sits out in the middle of the Mojave Desert and after tying turniquetts and having a few shots of whiskey, my sister-in-law would find me (she always does when she needs something) and she'd navigate the truck and tow to the nearest vet office (deserts aren't full of medical hospitals, clinics, ER, but have vets) and after chewing Pete out for leaving me alone unaware that a psychotic coyote was on the loose, I'd be pampered back to reek havoc.

Why do you need to go out in the desert to get shot 5 times. best chance to get shot so bad is downtown.

i have a small feeling that you might die. pluss the blood would dry up quicker than normal as the heat would evaporate the water out of it!

You would die and fry.each heartbeat would make it that much faster.
I hope the person that shot you, also trips over a rock and the buzzards get him.
