i miscarried at 7 weeks, i went to the er and the doctor took out the tissue that he could see comming from my cervix and said it didnt look normal. it looked like a large dark grey mass with dark blue spots on it. i did not see a fetus or anything pink or flesh colored. but through all that mess i thought i could see 2 small black dots (i thought they looked like little eyes) and i guess i did see something that did resemble the shape of a small bean or kidney. but it was the same color as everything else. can someone please tell me if they have seen anything like this before, im really freaked out and the doctor did not offer any explaination.

your Dr should not have said that to you without an explanation. It may mean little or nothing. Call his office and explain to the nurse that this is bothering you really bad and you need to know what he meant.

It was a fetus and the dots were probably the beginning of eyes forming. Early miscarriage is the body's way of ridding you of a pregnancy that is not viable- severe, life threatening malformations are a common reason for miscarriage so of course the tissue in a miscarriage is not going to look normal, but I strongly suggest you go to a gyn for a follow up to make sure the tissue was all extracted, that you are still not pregnant( you can abort a fetus and not other) and that there is no underlying disease. Most of all, you want to make sure all the miscarriage tissue is out to prevent an infection, which could become life threatening to you. ER doctors are not always as thorough and lack of explanation certainly suggests this. Go to a gyn, please.
