I got an email about this, I sent it onto my big bro and this is what he sent back to me

No, Earth will NOT have two moons.

There has been an internet hoax running around claiming that Mars will be so close to the EArth on August 27th that it will appear that there are "two moons in the sky". Pure bullshit.

Another hoax claimed that Pluto was going to leave its orbit and travel close enough to appear to be as large as our moon on the same date. More hogwash.

It is not true. The mail says something like "Mars will be 33 miles from earth on august 27 and look like a second moon". In actaulity Mars will be 176 million kilometers from earth on august 27. And it will only look like a star shining red like many others in the night sky.

Earth has one moon only, although there are quite a few satellites. Mars has two moons.
