I called up heaps of computer shops in Melbourne, but they either do not offer work experience or there is a huge waiting list. Which computer shop in Melbourne offer work experience from 24-28th September?

My career counseller is completely crap. She doesn't want to do anything and she is so busy that she doesn't have a thing called patience. All she said to me was "There should be one computer place which offer work experience" and leave me alone. Sorry to be so negative, but that is the dilemma I'm having.

Are you at school?
If so, your guidance counselor should be doing the ringing for you if you are doing the work experience through school - yr 11 or 12.
My son mates all did work experience at computer stores and had NO problems on offers.
Try the smaller (more personal) computer places. More 'one on one' teaching too.

Good Luck.

if you are saying the internet cafe shop, i was the old customer. And what i know is their repair and internet service are turning badly since the end of 2011. Well...this cafe should not be deserved as a repair shop anymore, since all their good workers has left. The Vietnamese worker in the cafe now is a non-professional technician. As i see, he was used to work with the previous owner to repair small problem, he didn't know how to repair the serious problem in computer. I suspected he doesn't have certification too. Guess what, i took my laptop to him last time. I said i want a virus removal, he suggested me to do a system reinstall. Then i took my laptop and run away. You know, it's hilarious. Everyone can reinstall the system, why do i pay for him to do it, and the problem is virus not something else. So, i went up to center road, i think in front of the KFC shop, there is a computer repair shop(i forgot the name), and i fixed my laptop there with no data/program loss. About the boy, i cant remember who is he, because many boys worked in there. And even i know who he is, I think he was back to China already because they both are overseas student. Try the one in center road, hope it will help you to fix your laptop.
