Is that 1000mg per day for the past 3 days? That is an ok amount. With over-the-counter ibuprofen, the directions are to not go over 1200mg in a 24 hour period of time. A doctor, however, can prescribe up to 2400mgs in a 24 hour period of time.

I sure wouldn't go over that. You're kinda small. It depends on what you have to take it for. I've done 1,600mg per day, but that was after dental surgery...and I'm 5'7" 160 lbs. Ibuprofen is the same as Motrin, just a different name. Try not to overdo for a long period of time.

It is not a bad amount, but make sure you take it with food and no alcohol during your medication even 48 hours after taking the drug. and no aspirin. it's harsh on your liver and eats the lining of your stomach. therefore take as directed by your doctor and do not exceed the amount told.

Its a drug. 1 mg per day will have an adverse affect on your body. You liver is working double time, and your stomach is likely bleeding. I would not take ibuprofen or any non-prescription/prescription drug, even if my life depended on it.

First of all, what are you taking it for? What is hurting you so bad that 400 mg doesn't help? Visit my website www.BanikChiropractic.com for some helpful information and I hope that your pain will go away soon.
