Gudgeons seem to mix really well with them as do alot of other unaggressive predatory fish, fish like your Australian Rainbows, Pacific Blue Eyes, Olive Glass Perch and Smelt also do well for they are quite hardy fish which are quite pretty and dwell in the top half of the tank.

I have an Empire gudeon and a purple spotted gudeon an they go wonderfully with my crayfish they actually share hiding spots. they dont attack other fish either content with fish flakes but will eat small prawns if they can get them

don't put in goldfish! or slow fish with long fins my crayfish had a talent for eating them even if it meant he had to climb upto the top of the tank an jump at them to do so

I do not recommend it. Crayfish are anti-social, and do not like other fish.

Herbivorous fish (plecostoma, carp, etc) shouldn't pose a problem.
