I like Kasydie and Mylia and Salesta and Tayler and Brigid and Lorelei and their nicknames could then be Kassie and Mylie and Sal and Tayl and Brig and Lor or Rory.
I like Blakeley and Rhyley and Mattison and Reshard and Landon for a boy

The nicest names I have heard (actually used by friends) are
Iris
Isla
Sienna
Joya
You might not find them unique, but they are no common and that's what I like. I hate names that are made up deliberately to sound stupid.
If I have a girl I would call her Gwendolyn (Gwenny/Gwen for short), it's pretty and unusual without sounding daft.

I had a student once named Precious. She's the only child I've ever known to have that name, so I'd say it's pretty unique. I also have a student now named Jahnaiahlyn (juh-nye-uh-lynn).

My youngest daughter is named after her great grandmother...Zella Mae, and my son has a boy in his class named Blaze. But the oddest girls name I have ever heard is Fountalene Pronounced Fount-a-lean!

For a boy it's harder for me to think of one but I do think the name Jensen (like Jensen Ackles' name) is unique.
