Hey, so I'm dating this guy and he just found out that he MIGHT be the father of some other girls' baby. (Before he and I got together he was with her... after we got together we found out about this) I want to know... in the state of Indiana if you sign your rights AWAY do you still have to pay for child support... because this girl... seriously (I quote "I'm going to wait till the baby is born before I move so I can get (name)'s cold hard cash! hahahahaha") is a nut case. Help a girl out here. I don't want to lose him to this and he really does NOT want anything to do with the situation. HELP HELP HELP!!!

Is there anyway to get out of paying child support WITHOUT a DNA test? We've done the math and if we're not mistaken it can't even be his because of the dates and everything meshing together.... it doesn't add up... unless someone somewhere is lying... HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Well for starters, a full term pregnancy is actually 9.5-10.5 month's long, not just 9 like we all think. Well sperm can live inside for I think like 10 day's. So, do your calculations still add up? If so, he should be a man and support his child, period. Would you want him to jet on your kid? No, I did not think so. That unborn baby had every right to know his daddy and be supported by his daddy & I can guarantee you that if you even try to come in between he & his duty, you will one day regret it. He will maybe put the blame on you why he don't see his kid. Fathers day & all the other celebrated holidays will be a reminder to him of his kid he's NOT seeing because it would cause too many issues between you & him. Step back, breath, absorbe and allow him to do the right thing. Be grown up about this unborn child that may be his that did not ask to be conceived or born! Good luck!

Noooooooo honey listen and listen good. If this woman name him as a father, sooner or later whether he sign or not he is going to be accountable for child support, the same thing is happening to my brother in law he is being in jail twice for a child is so obvious is not his, being the child is white all white and my brother in law is black.. the child is not mix is white, the girl was like a crack head or something, but bottom line after he spend two years in jail not child support related, he got clean and started to pay attention to what was happening to him, he working and they still taking his money this child he has never seeing, because the girl is not wanting to do anything with him because she knows now the baby isn't his, but anyways I found a Motion called scientific proof of paternity, this has nothing to do with child support is a motion to simply find out is he is the father of the child... I bought the Motion on line, now he files this and they will supenoe her to surrender the child's DNA no one should be obligated to pay for a child that isn't his.. educate your selves talk to a lawyer if you have to if you don't is not going to go away it only get worst.. good luck.

WHAT??? You want to actually be with a man who would sign his baby away. He can't actually sign the baby away unless the mom allows that...and it seems like she wants the money, so there goes that. He'll definately be paying for 18 years. No way out of child support, he should have thought of that when he was sleeping with her. And he should be paying, he has a responsibility now. BTW, you would have to know the date of the mom's last period to calculate the due date, that is what determines birth date, I doubt you or your boyfriend know that.

So do the right thing as an "Adult" and get the DNA test if it's not his she has to pay his share of the test and no harm no foul , if it is well then you got burnt and thats just life.

But dont punish the child by just sayen oh well big mistake the kid'll get over it I'm outta here .

Try being mature about it just a bit hey.

The DNA test would remove all questions.

I would give the whole thing a LOT of space until things are resolved. He has shown a definite lack of common sense in getting together with this girl to begin with... what other squirrel stunts has he pulled?
You don't want to be stuck paying out child support to this nutburger... and it is possible that if you marry this guy, your wages can be garnished to pay for child support.

you can not sign your rights away, unless she is married and has a husband ready and willing to adopt...think about it. you are with a deadbeat, and honestly, you dont sound much better. a man that would do that is pretty sad, but a so-called woman that would stay with that man, well, thats a different story!! just remember the word: KARMA
