Do you prefer a lawn?

or rocks/other growth... It always surprises me that here in the desert people plant cactus plants and thorny stuff in their yard. Lots of yards are gravel, too...less upkeep, less water.

lawns are a lot of work and can eat up a lot of resources, and the main benefit is soemthing soft to walk on, although playing sports and keeping the yard a few degrees coolaer are also nice.

personally, I'd prefer moss beneath a canopy of trees. Shady, low maintenence, and still very beautiful.

No lawn for me!

I live most of my life in Oregon, and mowed acres of grass over the years. Good water supply up there.

Now I live in Arizona, and love the gravel lawns with cactus and thorny plants decorating them. You never have to fire up a lawnmower or trimmer with this arrangement.

Some people plant lawns down here, but with 4 to 12% humidity it is hard to keep up with the watering.

I like a nice trimmed and shaped lawn but not a 70's jungle.

***** a lawn. You either have to mow it yourself or pay someone to mow it for you. I'm not with shiit. I prefer rocks or sand. Plus, if you don't take care of your grass, it ends up making your house look like shiit.

I like a lawn. Don't have one but, I like them anyways. Although rocks are easier to tend. No need to water, fertilize or mow!
