Ummm...hello? Would a "good friend" really want you to lose the sleep you desperately need to make sure you're getting a good education?? You should respectfully inform your friend that, since school has started back, that you will need to chat earlier so you can get to sleep at a decent hour. If that person is really a friend, they will understand! Maybe you should suggest finding alternative ways to keep communicating? Like, email, for instance. If your "friend" gets "mad", trust me, they aren't your friend.

Just tell your friend that as much as you LOVE staying up late chatting, you are a human being, and humans need sleep in order to function properly. Say it in a funny way so that your friend does not think you are using it as an excuse to not talk. Just be sincere. I'm sure your friend will understand.
Good Luck!

Your friend is too needy. Tell her that you value the friendship a lot but you can't talk to her while you're sleeping - even if you wanted to! Maybe invite her over for a sleepover once in a while to catch up. For a good friend, it's okay to lose sleep once in a while.

It is ridiculous that you can talk from 11 pm to 4 am everyday. If you will lose her friendship because you refuse to gossip with her during those wee hours every morning, you should be happy, because then, you can study, rest, sleep and do more productive things in your life.

I'm sure your friend is just upset because they might really like those coversations but, your friend will most likely understand and everything hopefully will be back to normal. The same thing happened between one of my friends and I. They may not have the same personality but I doubt your friend would like to loose your friendship. Hope I helped.

A good friend would realize you need ur sleep. Dont be manipulated. If she is a true friend she will still be around, if not, well at least u know what kind of friend she was.

Is your friend a vampire, or extremely sensitive? Tell them you can't stay up that late. It shouldn't be a problem, even if they weren't your friend. If you two are that close, it shouldn't matter, although it is so trivial it shouldn't be an issue anyway.

Just tell her that you didn't mean to upset her, you just wanted to let her know why you wouldn't be able to talk so late at night. Find another time when you can talk. Good luck! :)

So she's mad at you because you choose not to stay up late and talk to her? That's really stupid. You guys should probably talk in the daytime.
