yes. small fish = small mouth
baby fish are so cute...but if u have other fisht in the tank which are likely to eat them then u need like this little kind of cage that floats and keeps the babies in and the predators out.
good luck!

Yes, just crush them up a bit. Don't stress too much about it, I used to be worried when I had my baby guppies, but seriously, they eat anything, and are relatively large, so flake isn't a problem. You can get fry paste and stuff like that, but in my experience it just pollutes the tank. Hikari first bites is great, like most of their products :)
And feed right away, not after 2-3 days. Don't know where that little gem of information came from....

Actually guppy's need to be fed right away and not after 2-3 days
your best bet is getting "first Bites" or grind your flake food to powder
It's very important that you feed them 3-4 times a day, but don't put to much since it's really fine it's hard to get the right amount
if you have to much food, just get it out with a clean piece of papertowel
Hope that helps
Good luck

Yes, crush up the flake food in your hand until it's almost a powder. Or you could also use frozen(thawed) baby brine shrimp. They do make fry food as well, but those other 2 options I mentioned work just as well, and are usually cheaper.

you would have to crush them finely so the frys can devour them. i try to make the flakes into powder so its small enough for them to eat. when i feed them, i would wet a toothpick and dip them into the flake food so i get the right amount. using this technique, i won't overfeed them.
you can also try mixng baby brine shrimp with the flakes. they are high in protein. furthermore, you can raise brine shrimp eggs at your house and hatch them. if you do, remember to also mix it with flakes because baby brine shrimps lack in other nutrients. (btw don't feed it brine shrimp eggs. the eggs are hard to digest)
when they just came out, you can also give them Hikari first bites. it comes in a little green packet for like $3. even tho it seems like there aren't a lot of food in it, there is. its way more then enough for one batch of fry.
fyi you need to feed fry a lot : like 2 - 8 times, even tho frys emty their stomachs every 20min; its not good to feed them that much. :P

you can crush up flakes, i personally feed my baby guppies hikari first bites, as it saves me the work.
They will eat the food, but not right away. Try about 2-3 days after they are born.

4 gallons well the only thing that can happily live in there is a betta and they need heaters i guess you could get a school of 6 white cloud mountain minnows or cold water danios but they would not be happy in such a small tank all these fish except the betta should have flake

you could just grind flakes, but they eat off the bottom of the tank too, and there is a food for fry at the petstore
