I really want you to think about if your ready for sex.
There are questions you need to ask yourself.

Why do i want to have sex?

Are you ready to be a parent if the birth control does not work.?
And when you use only one it happens to many times that you get pregnant. Best to use two forms every time. Condoms break. And pills can be missed.

Is it morally right for you?

Do I want to wait till I am in love? Or married?

Can I handle it if there is a lot of pain?

What will others think about me if they find out?

How will i feel about myself the next day?

Do I have a good way to get birth control and know how to use them correctly?

These are just some of the things you may want to think about.

Good luck to you. I hope you choose what is best for you. whatever the case maybe.

Are you prepared for the consequences of sex?

STDs?

Pregnancy!?!?

If you are not prepared for those consequences you are in now way shape or form ready to have sex.

You should have protection at all times even if you've never had your period! You can get pregnant at any time.

Even using contraceptives you can get pregnant. Nothing is 100% effective except for abstinence.

How old is your b/f? If he's over 18 I'd strongly urge you not to, he can get into serious trouble with the law if you ever get caught, even if it is consensual.

Honestly, speaking from a purely scientific point of view. Menarche (your first period) means that you are ready to reproduce. I have had more than one patient become pregnant before their first period. Most likely they were having unprotected sex, ovulated before menarche, and became pregnant before the age for 12. So if you want to have sex, yes, scientifically speaking it is OK. Your body is producing the hormones for it.

However, in today's society, it is not very appropriate for 15-year-olds to be running around reproducing (centuries ago, gals got married around 12-13 and rapidly started reproducing!!). But luckily, we are not mentally rushed for such a burden at such an early age now-a-days. I personally would not recommend it. Not worth the emotional baggage sex has attached to it. Go ahead, enjoy your youth in other ways, you have the rest of your life to worry about relationships w/ men, sex, and what not.

If you do choose to have sex though, tell your mom (or another responsible adult) about it. Have her (or the other adult) take you to a gynecologist and please!! get the vaccine for HPV (human papilloma virus) in order to decrease your changes of cervico-uterine cancer (actually, tell your mom u need it, you should start getting the shots now even if u don't start having sex). Starting a sexual life should come w/ responsibility, use protection, go to a gynecologist, don't be promiscuous!!

I don't think you will get pregnant easier but it's still a possibility. Always use a condom and if you're thinking of having sex regularly birth control would be a good option. Everyone, not to be rude, but don't go on saying she's too young or whatever. It's her decision so, you shouldn't judge her for it. She knows what's better for herself than you all would.

Clearly you are not ready for what you are planning on doing. You should be able to answer these questions for your self. Besides that 15 is a bit young.

i am 15 to.. and been thinking bout sex alot to, but yet, i really think that this is not a good idea, even if you really think its a good idea. If you got pregnant, and had to deal with a baby, all at the age of 15!... that would not be good, especially, at our age!... think about it.
