I need a new phone since I recently dropped my phone in the ocean. As I was looking on verizonwireless.com I realized that all of the new phones cater to txting and video; I prefer a phone that is centered on just making calls.

Try the LG 8300. It's supposed to be a good solid phone all the way around and if you choose to jump on the bandwagon for any of those features, at least they'll be there for you. Plus the prices have gone down so that's a plus. One feature you may want to consider is how many places it has in the address book.

Check out what's available on Verizon, then go to Cnet.com to look up reviews on any models you're considering before you buy.

Good lucK!

Something old. Just ask for their basic model. I used to have a nice, free, basic phone from Verizon but I lost it.... Otherwise I would give you the model #. Sorry

You might want to check out www.phonescoop.com and www.phonearena.com to get real-world feedback from users about their phones and cell companies.

You can filter the results for just about any criteria, too.

Hope this helps!

Good Luck!

Whatever you do don't buy the Chocolate. Four people in my house each bought one last Christmas and they are all falling apart already.
