they used to be big in VW circles, even had their own club, the kit car magazine is a good place to check, and you can probably find one on ebay.com

check out the club site

I think the Stirling was the best VW based kit car made

There have been several attempts to bring this back.
They are out there, try Hemmings Motor News (they have a site). Watch E-bay and keep looking.
I saw one for sale in southern WV 2 weeks ago on old route 60 about at Rainelle (?) beside the road.
Talked to the owner of one last week. He claims it weighs in at under 1500 lbs and is quick and fun.
Having been a teen in the dune buggy hay-day- it makes my mouth water.

they were volkswagon frame/engine kit cars, you would remove the bugs body and put the bradley gt body on the vw frame

they were a fiberglass kit from the `70`s that fit onto a VW chassis.. Good luck finding a VW chassis nowadays too!

There is one up the street from me that has not moved in over 15 years and it is not complete. I don`t know if they are still available. I drove one about 18 yrs ago and was not impressed. Hope somebody here can send you in the right direction.
