I'm afraid EriK won't win the Cy Young Award in 2007. Maybe next year.

He's in the same boat as Dan Haren. They both are having great years, but they don't play on particularly good teams.

There are too many pitchers on good teams having equally good seasons. J.J. Putz, C.C. Sabathia, Fausto Carmona, John Lackey, Kelvim Escobar...

He definitely could, but he has a lot of competition. I've never seen a year in which so many guys were possible Cy Young candidates. One could make a solid argument for Bedard, Dan Haren, Josh Beckett, John Lackey, Fausto Carmona, Kelvim Escobar, Johan Santana, and C. C. Sabathia.

I like to see Bedard win it..he seem like a typical underdog candidate for the Cy Young...always root for the underdog. lol

Of course he COULD, but I don't think it's going to happen, with some of the other pitchers in the league.

Erik not Eric.

He'll win it if he wins every start from here on out

Which isn't entirely implausible
