she just started to go to na meeting, she saids he is no longer her brother and has no neice or nephew! she also has three children and they live with me! she comes in the day to watch them while i work and then most of the time goes to her boyfriends. please help !!!!!!!!!

She is in no position to be getting indignant about things - she is the one who has lost touch with reality. I don't blame him one bit. I wouldn't want a druggie around my babies either. She shouldn't be left alone to care for hers either unless she has been straight for several months. Nobody is helping her with her problems by raising her kids and letting her see them any old time and nobody is helping her by not being honest about how they feel about her. It sound like your son is treating her in a way that she has earned.

He has every right to protect his children. Eventually, if your daughter sticks with the program, she will see that she was at fault throught the effects of her disease.
And I would wait through at least 1 year of being sober and straight before leaving any children with her- including her own.

look... blood is thicker than water... tell ur son that although she has a drug/alcohol problem doesn't mean she's already marked as "not a good example"... she 's the aunt of of son's children and its her niece... if she's really dependent on drugs n alcohol, y not make her enter rehab... if she wnats to be with her niece... just make sure that she is supervised...
