Skeptic is a snob. There is no such thing as work that is beneath you. A good work ethic is what matters.

I honestly think you should call to follow up on your application. It will show you're interested and will make you stand out from the other applicants.

Good luck!

P.S. I'm a teacher now, but I was a manager in fast food all through high school and college. I have gained very relevant experience, even though food service isn't in my current field.

Be thankful that their system is broken. Why do you want to feed people "food" that is dangerous to people's health.

You can find a more credible place to work. Even washing dishes at a prestigeous restaurant would look better than McDs. You might think about what you want to do as a career and take a job that will help build experience you will need. A part-time job as a receptionist, errand person, or other entry level job will give you some experience that may come in handy later.

McDs just will not do much on a resume.

Go in person and apply. It makes a better impression.
