4 to 5 hours. Is this friendship or was he trying to develop a relationship? He has been divorced for two years. It was very frustrating because I never knew where I stood! What do you think? He has never dated since his divorce and he has no one in his life except his daughter that he has everyother weekend. He is always worried about money and says that his life is boring. Yet he won't go anywhere. I asked him to join my friends and I at their lake house and that never got off the ground. I know he likes me, he confides in me, but he is very nervous............what do you think. Four to five hour phone calls? Does any guy do that?

sounds like he is lonely to me... must have some interest or he wouldn't spend all his time talking with you

Sounds like he's having a mental breakdown. He must still love his ex-wife or he's hung up on a bad ending to his marriage. It definitely sounds like he's stuck in the past. He may be in desparate need of a therapist which is where you come in. Men rarely talk about their feelings for 4-5 hrs unless they're in deep pain. Tell him to stop being so cheap and shell out the money for it. I don't doubt he appreciates you and may even have some feelings for you but he's too afraid to act on them right now. The question is, are you willing to put your life on hold while he sorts out his issues? Also don't be a chump. I hope you're not calling him and running up your phone bill to sort out his mental breakdown. You are not responsible for him.

The first thing I would do, is confirm that he is indeed divorced. This sounds very fishy to me. Where do you know this guy from? You offer him an outing and he won't take it? Sounds like you are getting multiple red flags. Take the time to check him out before you find out that you have done nothing but waste YOUR time on a emotional scam. Good luck.

Looks like he is seeking more than a 4 hour phone call and your it lol. So the question now is to you. Do you like him enough to date him?.
