i have a router connecting two PCs next to each other. I have 3 hard drives
on one and 1 hard drive on the other.

When on the computer with one hard drive, What must I do to SEE the 3 hard drives
on the "other" computer?

I can see FILES but only on one hard drive.

or.......will a router only permit me to see
the C drive on the "other" computer?

You should be able to see the other drives. Here is a great thread on a similar issue: http://www.daniweb.com/forums/thread12365.html

I will summarize here:
"Filesharing requires 4 basic things: Network connectivity, Firewall permissions, NTFS Permissions, and Sharing Permissions. I think your Network and firewall is working properly, so let's look at NTFS and File Sharing.

1) Did you format the new drive? Is it FAT32 or NTFS? If NTFS, did you allow the local users group access to the drive? To test, go to the computer that has the drive attached to it, login as the user, and see if you can create a folder there. If so, permissions are fine. If it is a FAT32 drive, do not worry about this part at all.

2) Did you setup sharing permissions properly? Do the following- My computer->right click hard drive->properties->sharing & security tab->select "share this folder on the network." Also select "Allow network users to change my files."
"

I guess I'm assuming you're using Windoze. Just open Windows explorer, right click on one of the extra drives and choose "Sharing and security". Then click on "Share this folder on the network". You can set permissions and stuff, like allowing outside users to only read the files, and not modify them. Just repeat for all the drives and folders you want.
