Hey, he should be doing it any day now! My son is 5 weeks and just rolled over for the first time (from tummy to his back) but hasn't done it again .. I'm waiting for him to do it again so his daddy can see! :)
But the book ("What to Expect The First Year") says by the END of the 2nd month they should roll over by themselves.

It is different for all babies my son rolled from back to tummy recently (8 weeks) but he is hyper constantly kicking his legs and wiggling all over and he has only rolled once !! My older son did it at 3 months well 2 days shy of 3 months but he never crawled much and walked at 11 months or so all babies are different!! Jackson is adorable by the way!!

My son never did completely roll over, he went right from sitting to couch surfing (holding on to furniture and walking). He didn't crawl until he was 10.5 months, he just wanted to walk around. I think the average is about 3-6 months, but every baby is so different, give him lots of tummy time.

I honestly don't remember when my little guy first rolled, and I think the average is about 4 months, but try going to www.babycenter.com, the message boards there are really helpful, and were a great resource for me when I first had my son.

It is different for all babies but generally around 3-4 months. Usually they can roll from their tummies to their backs first then later they can roll from their backs to their tummies. =)

somewhere between 2-6 months, typical age is 4 months. the baby needs to develop strong neck and arm muscles before being able to roll over.
Make sure to give the baby opportunities to develop these muscles by laying him on his tummy ("tummy time") - while awake- up to 4 times per day for 3-5 minutes per time.

a complete rollover from tummy to back to tummy will probably not happen before 4 mths but a roll from tummy to back will happen from 2-3mths probably. Once they master this skill the others just flow on from there.

tummy to back is usually first, at around 3 months. you probably have a little wait ahead of you. to turn back it can take another couple of weeks to learn. babies all learn at their own pace, so you can give or take either way. the more you get down on the floor with him and play face to face, the more it will encourage him to want to get mobile.
