Honey, you are so sweet! I'm 64 years old and never liked speeches either. Do the best you can and realize that it is all good for you. You will do fine. If you cry, so what?. The process will make you a much stronger and more capable person. There is nothing wrong with crying. Everyone cries at times.
We all have to go through the same process that you are going through. I used to think at times that I would never get through it. Somehow I did and so will you. Can you talk to your mother or father. Maybe they can tell you of some of the things in school they had a hard time with so that you can see that you are not alone.
You seem like a wonderful girl that I would be proud to have as a grand daughter.

6th grade isn't as bad as people make it out to be. The only real difference is the fact that now you switch classes. But i loved my 6th grade year, and when your speaking in public just remember that most of the kids listening are just as nervous as you are. Just focus on your on project and not on everyone else, If you sound confident, everyone will see it. It gets easier as you go, trust me, in 8th grade I couldn't answer a question w/out going bright red...You just need practice

Omg, sixth grade is nottt that bad. If i have any advice, its be outgoing, keep up your self esteem as much as possible, and never reject a guy thats not totally horrible (i had a bad experience cuz i got nervous and rejected him) but other than that, 6th grade was a blast! o! and of course, if you like a guy, dont be afraid to make a move! If he rejects you the worst that could happen is not going out with him, which would have heppened if you hadn't taken that chance

actually, you really don't have to get speeches or anything. so its easier than what people have been telling you. its just like 5th grade except for different class rooms each hour and no recess.
advice:
1. don't be late for class. some teachers are really irritated about that.
2. DO NOT GET BEHIND ON SCHOOL WORK!!! trust me. i have been there. i almost failed 2 classes.
3. take notes. it helps with tests.
4. don't talk during class. you might miss something, and teachers are butt holes about that.
5. keep your locker organized. it helps to find stuff, and to not be late.
hope i helped!=)

6th grade's not that bad, cause no one really knows each other or the school so everyone's trying to get the social ladder figured out and all that. The impression you make now will last, but don't be freaked out or anything.
7th and 8th grade...that's a different story.

No, 6th grade isn't that bad.
Wait until you're in high school.
Boost up your self esteem and try not to be afraid. Remember, we cannot live our lives passing up opportunities because of fear.
