Just plug it in. At very least it will be recognized as a removable drive. If there is security software that comes with your usb flash drive and it doesn't appear to work , go to the manufacturers web site and see if there is a vista update. but even without the software, vista will see it as a removable drive and it will work fine.

Right-click on it and click "format" the first time you use the flash drive. After that when you put it in it will give you options including using your drive in Ready Boost mode which only improves performance of your puter if available space on the pen drive is at least 1 1/2 times the size of the memory installed on your system.

Hi. Just plug it in. USB is universally supported in Vista.
