I know this sounds weird, but I really like E*trade's checking account, but they require a monthly balance of $5000 to avoid a service charge or $200 in direct deposits per month. My current job doesn't have direct deposit, so is there a way for me to set my own direct deposit into the account (using my own money)? Thanks in advance.

Normally you can do this from a local checking account. Just deposit your check there, and have a regular transfer set up to E*Trade.

My bank allowed me to do this to avoid their fee.

particular, that looks like an incredible theory. as long as you're making adequate with your huge-unfold ft interest and she or he along with her PT interest to pay the expenses and get via, then that should be an marvelous thank you to shop and set some funds aside for once you go with it. It sounds as though in spite of extra funds is going into the joint account gets eaten up and disappear with no longer something to tutor for it. This makes an excellent variety of expertise to me.

You may be able to set up an automatic bill pay transfer to satisfy them. Never hurts to ask.
