I dont reccomend working out this soon!
I waited 3 months to start any workout and started small! no tummy exercises until 6 months, this is just MY choice ,but why hurt yourself?
my stomach also felt that hard feeling and my doc said thats normal! she said that you never really pay attention to where the uterus is or how it feels until you are pregnant, then afterwards you are more aware of it,and "see" problems that arent there!
Id say you are normal and slow down on the exercise a bit,or atleast just take walks, work your arms and leave the tummy a while!
good luck

This is exactly what I went through, but I was probably 3-5 weeks after giving birth.
I was told that if I laid on a hot mat for a couple minutes a day it would reduce the bulge in my lower stomach, but when I tried to lay on my stomach, it felt like something hard in there. It didn't hurt, but it just felt weird. If I were to have measured it, it probably would've been the size of a grapefruit. I asked the doctor and he told me it was my uterus. What was also funny was that it wasn't directly in the center of my abdomen, it was more like the center - left. He told me that I should give it another month or two before it'll go back to it's original shape and not to over-exsert myself in any activities. Everyone is different, and not everyone heals fast or slow. I say you should talk to your doctor about it.
I remember I received a folder from the doctors after having the baby and it gave me suggestions and tips for being a new mom, but no where did it say anything about the hard thing in my stomach. Good Luck though, I think it'll be better if you ask your doc.

Its completley normal. It will take a while, even though the uterus is back where it is suppose to me it is still going to it's original size. I had the same problem with my 2nd born. Would take it easy on working out, and if your doing sit ups, just do sets of 10-15, 3 sets only for the day. More advise I received from my doc.

whilst having unprotected intercourse at any time after a being pregnant you have that hazard of her getting pregnant back. Her menses may well be odd basically by using fact she gave delivery some weeks in the past and her widespread cycle has no longer started back up back. The smart ingredient of do could come again to utilising secure practices immediately to dodge yet another being pregnant or hit upon oral birth control to your spouse to commence taking a.s.a.p. Congrats on your new toddler!

I would go back to the doctor. You could have something wrong. I don't know what exactly, but I didn't have any hard ball type thing after having my son. There was nothing hard about it...jelly belly all the way.

I have given birth 5 times . including twins and you should be fine to have sex after 6 weeks. You must expect to be a little tender but go easy on the workouts yet. tummy control is quite enough at this point cooliegran

Too soon for any hard work out...and that doesn't sound good - go see another doctor.

I think you should ask the doctor about that, I don't think it's normal to have symptoms like that after birth....

It's just going to feel weird for a while. If it is painful, then be sure to tell your doctor.
