We plan on using the first name Scarlett so please if you do not like you dont have to help with this survey. We are stuck on the middle name. Mae is a family name that has been passed down for lots of generations including me. Rose is a name I just love. Which one do you like better?

I would go with Scarlett Mae because it sounds beautiful, elegant and sweet and also because it has family history. Hopefully someday she will use the name for her child too.

Scarlett Mae - beautiful names. I like both Mae and Rose but I think Mae goes better with Scarlett. I think it's wonderful to pass down the name too.

I like Scarlett Rose the best of the 2, however Scarlett Mae is nice too and if Mae has family values to it there's no reason to not got with it!

Scarlett Mae is a beautiful name with a beautiful association that comes with the middle name.
Scarlett Rose sounds more like a flower than a child.
So my vote is definitely with Scarlett Mae. Congrats!

I like Scarlett Rose, but if Mae is a family name, you might want to go with that. Or perhaps you can combine them, like Scarlett Mae-Rose or something like that (if i ever have a daughter,i want to name her Beatrix Uma-Rose after my favorite actress Uma Thurman,her Kill Bill character and my favorite flower that has special meaning to me). There's nothing wrong with 2 middle names, plus it would give her more of an option of what to go by when she reaches adolescence and wants to find her own identity.

I like Scarlett Rose better, because of the flow and it made me picture a pretty and slim child that is graceful and youthfully timeless--classic like roses.
I saw some of the other answers and I tried to find a way you could get the same flow without using the name Mae (I liked the "r" sound) and I came up with:

scarlett rose is played out i have found that middle names dont mean much so if mae is family based then i would do that one but i dont really like either
