it's only the 4th day of class and I already have a stack of homework a foot high. I'm not kidding. why are teachers so mean? its 11:00pm and it's still 90º outside and my house does not have A/C. it's way to hot to do school work. I get heat-sick easily (thats why I love winter... if it's 20º or less then I am happy) but I can't function in this heat. what should I do?

if you think 20-40 questions in math is ridiculous, then you would flip over this... I have 90, they were assigned this morning and due tomorrow! and have to draw out every graph, show every step in the problem solving... why do teachers do this??!!??

I personally dont think they should gave much at all if any.......... Kids are at school for 7 hours a day I dont think they should have to come home and do more !!!!!! And 20-40 questions in one subject is ridiculous anyways .... Like math 3 is enough to see if they know hoe to do it !!!!!

I think a lot of teachers overdo it on the homework. They forget you have other classes to work on also. But also the fact that you're in school for 6-7 hours/day, homework is supposed to help you retain what you learned in school. I'm not sure how many questions it would actually take for someone to retain stuff though.

As for the heat problem, use a fan until the heat passes, which it likely will soon.

Well get used to it, usually you will be doing a lot of homework as the school year goes on. I had a ton of homework to, (not at often) but I hated it as well, and I spent hours, even on the weekend to do my homework

georgigirl422 is correct, welcome to college! College is a LOT more wore work that high school. If you get a responsible job in areas such as engineering, chemistry, health care, etc; peoples lives are going to depend on how much you know.

You have a lot of homework so that you will really learn the subject that you are taking. If you don't have a good study method I encourage you to learn one. I found and learned the SQ3R study method and it helped me a lot. You can look it up by doing a Google search on "SQ3R study method".

My best wishes for your future.

Anyone would expect this when they are enrolled in high school and college at the same time...........................
Remember, every teacher thinks their homework should be the only thing you're doing...........................
