There is usually a disconnect on the outside of the house(whithin 5 ft of the condenser) There are fuses in there, check those. Also check your circuit breaker in the house. The condensing unit is not on a single circuit breaker it is on one of the 220 or double circuit breakers. It may look like the main one to the house at the very top or bottom. Reset one of the big ones in your breaker box if you have one. If it is still blowing air the unit in the house is still running but the condenser on the outside is not working properly. There very well could have been a surge that fried your condenser but not real likely since it SHOULD be protected by the fused disconnect by the condenser.

It's possible that if you don't have the correct fuses in an older unit the power going off and then right back on again could have ruined your compressor. Try flipping the breakers if you have them, if not then try replacing the fuses, hopefully all you did is trip a breaker or blow a fuse.

You may need to have an electrician come
out and check. What caused the black out? It could have burned out your AC.
Something like a power surge. Ask you power company if they can look at it or give you an idea what to do.

Did you try flipping your breaker off and on
again? That could work in some cases.

Are there fuses in the air conditioner somewhere? I once thought I blew my speakers but all I did was blow a fuse in them.
