When I wake up in the morning, my stomach is flat and looks nice. As the day goes on, it buldges out more and more till my pants are tight and I look 4 months pregnant!

I am 5'6" and fit, vegetarian. Could it be lactose intolerance or what? It's been like this for as long as I can remember.

It's not vegetables . . . I can tell when I eat those because it's a different feeling.

Ugh, I have the exact same problem. It helps to drink plenty of water (although to not gulp it down), eat small meals throughout the day, and do 30 crunches or so after eating a big meal. Or going for a walk. The movement helps move the bloat or whatever so my stomach flattens out again. Do you have any other symptoms like gas or stomach pain?

Write down a journal of what you eat, and write observations of how big your stomach seems. Then look and see if there are any patterns. Try talking to a doc to rule out a more serious medical problem.

You could have a problem like hypoglycemia, or hyperglycemia, or you may have a type of diabetes, or something similar. This is one of the symptoms I've seen that have had these causes. You may also have very poor posture, but I think that if it were posture, you would stand up straighter, and pull your stomach in, and that would fix it. Have a checkup, tell the doctor. They will probably want to do some type of bloodwork. It may not be affecting your health so much now, but better to check it out and fix it before it does progress, and become something that is more harmful or progressed.

Sounds like bloating--it could be lactose or some other type of allergy/intolerance. Many vegetarians have an ongoing struggle with this, since so many foods cause excess gas. Try experimenting with your diet, eliminating one food at a time until you findrelief.

Yes it is average for the backside side to stay out first. That's in which the uterus is on the starting of the being pregnant. By 20 weeks the highest of the uterus is at your stomach button and it simply continues getting bigger after that.

It could be gas in the bowels. Some veggies cause a lot of gas, like onions ,cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli.
