okay on the spur of the moment i had to upgrade tank size. so i took most of the water from the 10 gallon and a ornament and put it in the new 20 gallon. i set up the 10 gallon for a green spotted puffer which i cant find a stone who hads them (newark delaware). so i added the rest of the water from the tap and put in proper amount of aqua safe and "cycle" to help mature the bacteria cycle proces. i have fluval 2 plus filter which i used a couple years ago for my RES. i also have a air pump and heater set to 78-80 i have blue rams, corys, gouramis, tetras, and livevears. the water is pretty cloudy in the 20 and the 10 (has no fish in it yet) is crystal clear. the fish seem fine but i dont like it being that cloudy. i know moving the fish to a non cycled tank is a no no but i sort had to. should i just let it run and it will clear up? also is my filter okay?

The reason for that is because you put the fish in an uncycled tank and with that a huge ammonia source

when you cycle your tank with fish you need to do frequent waterchanges or you will loose your fish due to ammonia

The reason your tank is cloudy, is because of an bacterial bloom which is a good sign, and it will clear up just have patience

read the articles on the following site and learn

here is a site about cycling with fish in it

hope that helps
Good luck

Yes this is perfectly normal, its got to do with fact that the filter has not 'matured' yet, bacteria and filter materials are likely causes. If you have a biological filter this would inevitably occur. The excess sediments and porous mediums would release into you tank. Don't change the water though .. let bacteria colonise first usually take 2- 3 weeks

No worries~ it will eventually clear up. its like When You put tap water in a glass and its cloudy. If you let it be for a while the water settles and goes crystal clear
