One million micrograms make one gram.

So 5 micrograms = 5 grams divided by one million..

Move the decimal 6 places to the left to divide by a million. You get 0.000005 grams for the answer

1000 milligrams (mg) = 1 gram (g)
1000 micrograms (mcg) = 1 milligram

5 micrograms to grams:

5 micrograms = 0.005 milligram
0.005 milligram = 0.000005 gram

the prefix "micro-" means 1/1,000,000 (1 x 10^-6) so 1 microgram is 0.000001 (1x10^-6) grams.
