I think he should get a second chance, but only after a 5 year ban. Future offenders should a get a mandatory lifetime ban, because now they know the penalty. I think he should get 2 years minimum behind bars as well.
I think this would give him a chance to get his life back, but at the same time send a strong message for the future.

First off, this whole "hey x,y and z people did worse and got away with it" is absurd. If we're going to lower the bar of the law for every time someone committed a crime and got off light, we may as well just abandon law entirely and fire all the cops and detectives. The justice system is imperfect, and there are countless people who have tricked their way to a lighter sentence or none at all. Vick is ZERO WAY entitled to leniency because some other criminal case was screwed up. That idea is just asinine.
As for a second chance? Absolutely he should receive a second chance, which should start after he has finished his sentence. Once he has paid his debt to society, he should be afforded the chance to do right. But for now, he broke the law, he will be found guilty on Monday by his own admission, and he should serve the time decided by the judge.

Well, he is not getting the death penalty he gave so many dogs over the course of the last 5 years. So, I think in essence he IS getting a second chance.
Playing in the NFL? That's a privelage that he has forfeited by involving himself in a heinous bloodsport for so many years that it cannot be classified as a 'mistake'. I don't suspect that the NFL will ban Michael Vick for life, although they should, but there isn't likely to be a team that will want the public relations nightmare that Vick will bring to a franchise, not to mention after the jail time he serves for the federal indictment, then the jail time he wil likely have to serve for the VA charges, he will be a has-been really, a has-been that never really 'was'.
America does not hate 'woman', but woman shouldn't have gone to Kobe's hotel room, woman needs to take responsibility for her own actions. What did 'woman' think she was invited to Kobe's hotel room for, to watch Sesame street. 'Woman' made her decision to go to his hotel room, the 100's of dogs that Michael Vick tortured and murdered and subjected to short lives full of misery, suffering and pain had NO choice. OJ Simpson may have not served jail time, but he is certainly disdained and hated wherever he goes to this day.

Given their high visibility and the amount of respect that they are given for their abilities, they are role models.
I personally believe that if they are convicted of a felony, they should be banned from professional sports.
If convicted, Michael Vick does not deserve a second chance. I like what one guy said....sure, let him go back and be the Falcon's QB, but the first time they lose a game, electrocute and drown Vick like he did with his dogs that lost.

Not only does Michael Vick deserve to be booted from his sport, but so does the other players you mentioned. Pacman Jones, Chris Henry, etc. should also be banned from the NFL. In the NBA, I have never come across a player that deserves to be banned from his sport more than Latrell Sprewell. How many people can choke their boss and still have a job? Michael Vick deserves another chance, but in the Arena Football league. Bon Jovi owns the Philadelphia Soul....maybe he will give Vick a shot.

even though what Vick did was horrible in our world everyone deserves a second chance. but this is different Kobe was not guilty and so was OJ even though we all no that is wrong, where Vick pleaded guilty. but in the end Vick will need to rebuild his image and he will get a second shot at the NFL

OJ is much worse than Vick.
OJ was not proven guilty so he walks away. That's the law.
Kobe walked because he was not found guilty. That's the law.
Vick was found guilty. He needs to pay. That's the law.

after he does the time his judge decides, yes. he would have paid his due to America and is then even with the house. everybody deserves a second chance we all make mistakes (maybe not as big as Vick did) remember he has never been arrested before in his life, this is strike one

Honestly....i don't think he should. First of all there was actual proof that Michael Vick killed dogs. What proof was there for o.j or Kobe? i think he deserves more than hes getting....he pleaded guilty like there wasn't anything to hide! he knew he was busted!!!
