My husband isn't thrilled about my pregnancy craving inspired dinners. I ask him what he wants, but he always says whatever, it doesn't matter. What am I supposed to do? I value sitting down at the table and eating as a family, we also have a two year old. But when one of my "inspired" dinners doesn't appeal to him, he always eats something different, at a later time.

Um...yeah....I don't think him not wanting what I want to eat reason for counseling.

Telll him that my husband put up with macaroni cheese every day for 8 months of my pregnancy! If he could cope with that, then your husband should be able to cope with your cravings!

He's a grown man. If he doesn't want to eat what you prepare, there's nothing wrong with telling him to cook it himself, especially when he insists "whatever".

Make sure you tell him how important family meals are to you. Sit him down, explain why, and tell him that even if he's not crazy about the food, you'd like him to sit with you anyway. If he doesn't like what you're fixing, you can't be psychic, and you need more input from him.

If he's not receptive or doesn't want to listen (or tries to argue when you're being non-confrontational), it might be time to seek counseling, a third-party person to help you discover what the real problem might be.

Do nothing if you put food for your family on the table and they dont want it, eat it yourself and let them make something else. Good luck!

Well, it sounds like he's handling it fine. As long as he's not being insulting about what you serve, making himself something later sounds perfectly fine to me. At least he's not demanding that you make him something else. Right?
