It means she was probably able to start pushing as soon as she got there! 10cm is the largest a woman can dilate, then the baby comes.

Congrats to your cousin!

It means her baby has a big, big head, and even though her body is trying to get the baby out, he doesn't want to fit through her hips and cervix. 10 is where they start pushing. After a couple of hours of that, if the baby isn't budging, they'll probably suggest a c-section. Don't worry. Your cousin and her baby are in good hands. A regular delivery or a c-section, either way, is very safe for everyone concerned.

that means that she can start pushing!! as the baby moves down it makes your cervix open, at 10 cm's there is enough room to push the baby out :) if she hasnt had him yet, you will be getting a call soon!

Means the hole that the baby comes out (the cervix) is open as far as it will get. So that means her body is ready for the baby to make its way out.

it means she was ready to give birth to that baby! once she reached 10 cms, she would have started to push the baby out. :) it means the cervix has thinned and stretched out literally to 10 cm in diameter to accomedate the baby's head

If she was dialated to 10 then that means fully dialated or 10cm dialated. She should have had the baby just after that. That is where u go from labor to delivery.

if she's dilated to 10, then she should definately be pushing. it means her cervix is opened to the size that it should be... 10 centimeters

That means she is going to push very soon and that she can not expand her cervix any more.
