i have new info. this lady was in an abusive relationship. she called the police on her b/f in the past and had left him. she was living by herself and came home from church to find him waiting outside her house. he started beating her again, she was able to get to a 410 shotgun and shot him in the chest. killing him. no charges have been filed yet. was this self-defence? was the shooting justified?

well for it to be self -defense there must have been imminent danger (which it sounds like it was) but there would be other variables involved - like how many times did she shoot him, where did she shoot him - that sort of thing. If it's determined not to be self- defense, then she could claim the shooting was justifiable, more than likely using the battered spouse defense

He wants you when you're not interested, but not when you are. Back off and find someone else. I'm not sure guys ask deep probing questions when they like you. (Some of them may.) But many of them will just have sex with you, without the relationship if you let them. So you have to look after yourself until you meet someone who makes it obvious that he is really into you. Good luck.

I would of shot him. I would of done it to save myself from more beatings. Its was both self-defence and justified and she can claim emotional abuse along with the physical.

There is not enough information to render any opinion. I do have a question, if she was outside her house how would she get a shotgun? Maybe she keeps one hidden in the bushes?

Self-defense? Yes. Justified? Yes. Did he deserve it? Yes.

I would say it was justified. He came to her house with the intent to do harm to her. The good thing is that he won't be able to do it again now will he?

yes it was absolutely self defence. and i think the shooting was completely justifiable. if your life is in danger, you should by all means protect it. and he obviously was kind of stalking her

Well, the problem with the official version of the story is that dead men tell no tales.
