All living things have a purpose - they shouldn't be harmed just because we call them ugly.

What if that slug that we call "ugly" is actually the Brad Pitt, the Tom Cruise, the Rudolph Valentino of the slug world?
Groupies, girl slugs screaming and throwing their underwear, an Oprah slug having them on SLUG TV, pictures on the cover of Slug-17 magazine.

everything was put on the planet for a reason, ugly or beautiful. if we didnt have spiders (blech!) the world would be swarmed with flies! slugs help get rid of dead and rotting plants, worms fertilize the soil. if everything was killed for being ugly (which isnt a very nice word for it) the world would have very little vegitation and would be not as beautiful as it is with ugly things

No that is not a good justification. If they are destroying your garden/crops then you can take preventative measures which doesn't necessarily mean you have to kill them.
