You sound pretty normal to me. I do not have any kids, but I know a couple people that have gone through similar circumstances. I know a lady that had her normal period amount for 3 months when she was prego. A little blood is fairly normal. It is when you begin to bleed heavily that you may have to worry, and it is usually accompanied with bad cramping.

good luck.

You're fine, your baby's fine. Some ladies actually have a period the first month. A smear of blood is okay.

Eat lots of fruit and veggies, plenty of dairy and protein. Eat healthy. Exercise like stretches or yoga or walking or swimming. Get plenty of sleep and try not to worry. Do not take any over-the-counter medication unless the dr. tells you to. Sex is okay until you're too uncomfortable for it to be fun.

I don't know if hCG confirms your pregnancy, but the HPT sure does. HPTs are almost never wrong if the directions were used.

First off, relax a minute. If you have any question you can always call the doctor office or even call the triage nurse hot line. Ask them if you are concerned about the spotting. That is what I would do. Just don't jump to conclusions...
