When Wiccans use magic they don't do stuff like turn people into toads or cast thunder or anything - that's TV stuff. They manipulate energy in order to achieve something they want. These spells don't usually work in a way in which the results are really sudden and unusual. Rather than supernatural, this magic is natural, because to cast it, they draw from powers of nature.

Crazy super magic.
Actually, most magic done by wiccans is unobtrusive, and rarely noticed by anyone but the caster, and a few others attuned to that type of magic. Bewitched is tv magic.

Magic is little more than the building up and channeling of energy. No it is not crazy magic like in Bewitched stuff, not like in Charmed, and not like in the Craft.

Hello I am a Wiccan Witch.We are of the Old Ways, among those who walk with the Goddess and God and receive Their love.
Our magick is a bending of the energies in our lives to maifest good and effect change. We use the power to bend different situations, to our will.
YOU WONT FIND US CASTING SPELLS TO: Turn someone into a frog, have our dinner made instantly,make someone do as we bid, fly through the air...etc...
YOU WILL FIND US CASTING SPELLS FOR: Health Problems, Hearts desires, good luck, sucess,bindings of negative energies etc.
To do this we call on the Power of the Goddess and God and of the elements~earth air fire water & spirit.
We are bound by our Rede which states"Do as tho wilt, but harm ye none. So you will not find any of us causing harm or affecting a persons free will.( such as love spells)
Many of us also abide by the Law of the Power......
The Power shall not be used to bring harm, to injure or control others. But if the need rises, the Power shall be used to protect your life or the lives of others.
The Power is used only as need dictates.
The Power can be used for your own gain, as long as by doing so you harm none.
It is unwise to accept money for use of the Power, for it quickly controls its taker. Be not as those of other religions.
Use not the Power for prideful gain, for such cheapens the mysteries of Wicca and magick.
Ever remember that the Power is the sacred gift of the Goddess and God, and should never be misused or abused.
And this is the law of the Power.

Much lower. Magic is to us as a prayer is to a Christian. In truth, everyone uses magic for magic is only energy that manifests due to intense thought or feeling. A witch harnesses this energy to help to achieve a goal. But it always works in natural ways for it is very natural, existing within nature and within all creatures.

And Christians wonder why both Pagans and Atheists tear into them and their religion. Just look at the some of the answers you got from them.
When Wiccans use Magick it is resonance with nature. Wiccans also practice many of the natural callings that those who are Pagans or of The Lore call crafts, but Christians long ago named Witchcraft so they could torture and murder those they wished.
There is not an answerer or any on this forum who have not been touched by Magick or Craft to their well-being.

They might be just using the power of suggestion..Also magic to wicca might be a soothing ritual to ease the burdens they have and use as a time to reflect on the task at hand....for the most part they are meirly meditating...If you could imagine they are asking the cosmos for guidents..

It's means they are outcasts from the normal society in today's world that either want attention or they really believe in and the cast a fake "hokus pokus" spell that they want to work but in reality only works in they deluded minds.
In the ancient times they did spells for everything from fertility to a better crop season but they did these spells to settle the masses and give a better explanation of the unknown. If it worked or didn't work was purely based on coincidence.

^Magick is used to help you be one with the universe, there are many different beliefs and customs among Wiccans and Pagans.
Oh if only I could twitch my nose and turn someone into a toad. Bush and Chaney you're on my list. lol
