I'd like a stage name because I don't think people will be able to remember or pronounce my name (I'm looking to act and write novels). Something that sounds mysterious or with a 50s actress quality. I was thinking Lulu Rochelle, but I'd like some suggestions, please.

I knew "Lulu Rochelle" was bad news lol... By the way, my name is Karen Aveelas. I dislike how people often ask to spell my last name out. And my middle name is Suleyma.

I'm sorry, but Lulu Rochelle sounds like what you come up with when they say "Here's how you find your stripper name. What was the name of your first pet and the first street you you lived on?" I like your real name better, but if you don't I'd look in the family tree for inspiration. Believe me I understand about not wanting to use your real name because no one even says it correctly. I always just raised my hand in school when they even tried to pronounce mine and it's not even that bad. Plus in the future when you get fan mail from prison inmates you might think it was a great idea not to use your real name :-) Look at your mother's and grandmother's maiden names. Try Karen or Rochelle, but Lulu I'd leave to the girls who accept dollar bills for dances. That's just my opinion, but on the other hand it certainly is memorable!

Lulu Rochelle sounds like someone in a bad spy novel. Lulu doesn't have connotations of mystery, nor does it relate to the 50s. The only LuLu of national prominance is Little Lulu, the comic strip, and she's not exactly a winner.
Choosing a nom de plume can be tricky - but why don't you think people would be able to remember or pronounce your name? Look at some of the names actresses have these days. They certainly aren't glamorous or easy to pronounce (or to spell correctly). If you have a distinctive name, so much the better. Use it and be proud of it.

I like the Rochelle, but "Lulu" might sound a little too campy or sophomoric for some directors. I'd go with Lily Rochelle.

Karen Rochelle by doing it like this when you are asked in an interview one day about your name you can tell the story of how you took two names that you had and made one lovely name or how about just "Aveelas" no last name that would be great

Is your name Lulu? How about that all by itself. No last name like some of the stars of the past like Hildegaard and Valerie. Mysterious with no last name. If I knew your real last name I could come up with other suggestions
