My only parent passed away 1 year 9months ago, i think there would be a will.I did not know about it the death, if they mailed something i did not recieve it.Like if it was certified and your not home they leave a sticky paper that can fly away, if they did.My other sibling and i do not speak. And this is all new today and my parent owned a home which the sibling i seen today lives there. If there was a will and i was in it,because almost two years passing will that leave me out from not knowing and if they tried to contact and i did not know about it.
Any insight please would help me very much!
Thank you

My question is, if you did not care enough to be aware if your parent was dead or alive, why would you now think you should inherit the estate? I suggest you leave it alone and move on.

Check with the courts. The estate (all that your parents left) would have had to go through probate, will or not.

There's gonna be too many variables to get a good answer here.

But I'll bet a lawyer can give you a pretty good answer pretty quick.
