Knowing that when you have sex someone, there is a chance that pregnancy may be the outcome since when the male climaxes, he will ejaculate into the female to fertilize an egg. SO, basically, when you have sex with someone, you're planning on pregnancy already, but with access to birth control and abortions, society treats pregnancy like a horrible disease.

Planned would seem to be like the rhythm method, which follows the females temperatures to determine the time of ovulation. But planned, as in planned parenthood usually means it wasn't planned so let us plan to get rid of it.

I don't see our society treating pregnancy as a "horrible disease". It can be a wonderful time in a woman's life.

The downside and heartbreaking aspects of pregnancies are teenagers who conceive and keep their babies. Then we have kids having kids. Also they become a permanent 'underclass', not able to finish high school and go on to college or technical schools, nor able to work full time.

These teen girls end up burger-flipping part time and on welfare. They also tend to have more babies. Their bodies are ravaged by the effects that pregnancy can cause : overweight, sagging breasts, stretch marks, calcium loss in teeth. I've noticed that teen girls, particularly, are changed for the worse physically, socially and economically by pregnancy. And those poor babies!

A" planned" pregnancy would be when a couple (married hopefully!) decide they want to have a child. To facilitate pregnancy they make sure to have intercourse right before and during the woman's fertile time of her cycle.

Pharmacies sell kits that can indicate when a woman is ovulating, if you really want to nail down the exact time frame.

But, if a woman has a regular period - say 28 days; then 14 days into her cycle she will most likely be ovulating.

Well when you've been using contraceptives to prevent a pregnancy and then decide you'd like to get pregnant, you "plan" when your coming off it in the hope to get pregnant.
Having sex with someone and planning to have a baby are not quite the same, not many people have sex with the intention of getting pregnant, and if they do,it was unplanned.

There is always a risk of pregnancy when you have sex. I think some people don't think it will happen to them. For that reason, there are alot of unplanned pregnancies. Some people don't think about the consequences when they have unsafe sex.
