Since you are on the Message Starter Plan (200 Messages), once you go over you will have to pay $0.10 for every message sent and received. As of right now, you are looking at $2.00. But what you should look into is when your billing cycle ends.

The reason is that if you still have a couple weeks left, and you are still receiving text, the overage costs are going to be HUGE. Something you might want to look into is getting the next package up, for $9.99 you can get 1500 messages.

You can check your message usage by dialing *data# into your phone. So there are no big surprises on your bill. You will know how many you went over.

Cingular has a few options for you, once you pay for these overages you might want to think about upping your messaging package.

Now, if you weren't on a messaging plan (pay per use), AT&T/Cingular charges you $0.15 per message.

Check out this website, it explains your overages:

Hopes this helps.

it depends on which plan you are on... the iPhone plans will charge you a nickle for every one over 200... so keep texting till your finger is raw!!!
